With everyone currently in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s never been more important for us as a nation to promote and encourage healthy lifestyles for all. Due to the current lockdown and the government advice around social distancing and gathering in groups, people are unable to attend gyms and classes. As a result, most of us are reaching for online alternatives.
Although there are a number of online solutions available, many are not able to provide the kind of tailored approach delivered by a qualified personal trainer – one that meets the needs of the individual, and also takes their abilities and health conditions into account.
This is why Platinum Training Institute is supporting the fit4thefight campaign. Until the end of August, fibodo is providing free access to the fit4thefight booking web pages and apps. This enables major fitness operators, studios and personal trainers to begin hosting online training sessions immediately without incurring any additional overheads.
Benefits for everyone
Search from a list of qualified personal trainers (location, availability, name, activity type)
Home personal training sessions, delivered online, tailored to your ability and goals
For personal trainers;
FREE marketplace to promote your online services to the public
Allows you to offer your expertise and knowledge, and keep on earning
Our organisation is supporting the fit4thefight campaign and would like to encourage those of you who are qualified personal trainers to register and set up a profile. This is a FREE marketplace for fitness professionals to promote their online services to the public. It takes 15 minutes to set up your profile and go live to thousands of consumers.
fibodo are also enlisting support from corporates around the UK, and your services will be made available to corporate staff through fit4thefight when corporate wellness programmes open up and support fit4thefight.
The campaign is helping to keep an isolated nation active during this incredibly difficult period when everyone is being asked to stay at home. It will also allow you, as a fitness professional or personal trainer, to play your part, offering your expertise and knowledge, and keeping you earning. The fitness sessions are delivered live online. All the information you need is covered during the sign-up process and the team at fibodo is on hand to talk to you, answer your questions and help you get set up.
We would like to encourage our learners to get involved with the fit4thefight campaign, whether this is motivating others to join the sessions or becoming a registered personal trainer.
Self-isolating can affect both mental and physical health. Just 20 minutes of guided exercise a day can make all the difference. It’s a great opportunity to try something new, learn new exercise techniques, and most importantly, stay active to maintain both physical and mental wellbeing.
fit4thefight are breaking down barriers to exercise. If you are isolating or worried about general health due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these sessions can help you stay active. fit4thefight will be offering two online sessions of 20 minutes and 40 minutes, and a special group session for up to six people, all booked at your convenience with experienced local fitness professionals.
To get started:
- Download the app and create your profile
- Search for your activity type or find a local fitness professional
- Book your activity and your preferred time slot
- Enjoy and share on your social channels using #f4tf
50% of all net proceeds will be donated to charities that help those most affected by this health crisis.
fit4thefight and fibodo recommend delivering online sessions with Zoom, Cisco Webex, Google Hangouts or Join Me. If you have a preferred method not listed, please contact the team.
A subscription fee of £9.99 per month will be waived during the UK lockdown. This is valid until the end of August 2020 (depending on UK lockdown, this date may be extended). A simple 10% transaction fee on each session, with 50% of this donated to charities dedicated to helping those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Consumers can search trainers listed on the website and app by name, location, time and activity type. Trainers can advertise their availability on social media directly from the platform using the campaign’s hashtags for increased reach, and also take payments and run the online sessions.
