Award in Nutrition for Physical Activity and Exercise
DEMAND
This qualification provides learners with knowledge and skills to provide clients with reliable, evidence-based nutrition and healthy eating guidance. Working within their scope of practice they will be able to assist their clients in understanding the relevance of official guidelines to their individual personal food preferences and needs, directing those individuals who participate in physical activity and exercise to reputable sources of information when required.
This qualification is mapped to, and fully endorsed against, the the Association for Nutrition (AfN) competence framework: Nutrition for Fitness and Leisure (Intermediate Level).
It is also recognised by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMPSA), receiving 10 CPD points.
